When you properly brush your oils down the hair you can get away with leaving your hair dirty longer, as i did. Sometimes I'm lazy and don't get even seven days out of my hair, so don't get discouraged if you can't hold out that long. At this point too I may even do another conditioner wash that morning or the night before.
I would like to encourage pre-drying your hair at the roots. This really helps dry your hair faster. Its also important because you are indicating where you want your hair to go and breaking up any cowlicks you might have. By day seven or eight for me my natural oils are well distributed down my hair shaft. This makes my hair look really full and helps with the volume. Adding the Prêt a Powder absorbs oil, adds volume, and creates a grip to your hair that helps it keep the style. With the power in your hair like this you really can go another day with your hair dirty. Sometimes I will put my hair up in an up do on the ninth day.
I hope my week of dirty hair has inspired you to try a new hair routine. Even if you can't go a week try a couple of days at first. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have about my routine or if you have questions about your own hair.
Love your hair. Love yourself.
